Matthew Goldin Promoted to AVP, Senior Credit Analyst

River City Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew Goldin to Assistant Vice President, Senior Credit Analyst. Since joining River City Bank in 2015, Goldin’s outstanding work ethic and commitment to excellence have made a significant impact on the bank’s credit department.

Goldin received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Economics from Berry College. “I have been with River City Bank for nearly a decade now, and I’m proud to be a part of this tight-knit team and community,” said Goldin. “We have an incredible group of bankers who drive us forward and cultivate a strong sense of community here. I’m thrilled to be a part of an ever-growing team and look forward to all the new challenges in this role and beyond.”

Goldin and his wife, Kelly, reside in Rome with their two-year-old son, Levi, and their dog, Molly. They are active members of Rome First United Methodist Church and look forward to welcoming a baby girl to their family this summer. In his free time, Goldin enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, taking on home improvement projects, attending Rome Little Theatre Shows, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.

Jonathan Jones Promoted to SVP, Senior Credit Officer

River City Bank is proud to announce the promotion of Jonathan Jones to Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Officer. Jonathan joined River City Bank in June 2019 as Vice President, Senior Credit Administrator and in his short tenure has made a significant impact to the bank’s credit department.  He has worked strategically to successfully improve and strengthen the department’s credit workflow, credit underwriting process, and credit decisioning velocity, resulting in increased operational efficiencies. In his role as Senior Credit Officer, Jonathan is responsible for the oversight of all credit related risk management functions of the organization.

Sierra Mantooth Joins River City Bank as Branch Manager

River City Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Sierra Mantooth as Branch Manager of the Bank’s Rome location. In this role, she will be responsible for providing financial solutions for clients as well as managing and developing the retail team.

A Rome native, Sierra attended Georgia Highlands College where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She has a passion for connecting with people and is recognized for her team-oriented mindset. “I am thrilled to be returning to River City Bank,” said Sierra. “The culture, customers, and my colleagues are what I love most. In this new role, I’m excited to help our clients reach their financial goals by guiding them to the right products and services at River City Bank.”

Alicia Durden Joins RCB Team

Alicia Durden joins River City Bank as SVP/Chief Operations Officer & Information Security Officer

River City Bank is proud to announce the addition of Alicia Durden as Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, and Information Security Officer. Alicia has responsibility for leading the design, enhancement, implementation, and oversight of Deposit and Loan Operations, Branch Operations, Information Technology, Compliance, and Facilities. She will also lead the bank in building, implementing, and overseeing all systems, processes, operational workflows, and procedures.

Alicia joins River City Bank from Cornerstone Bank where she recently served as Senior Vice President, Director of Operations. She brings with her 25 years of operations, compliance, human resource management, risk management and IT experience. She has served in senior level banking positions such as Chief Operating Officer, Enterprise Risk Management Officer, CRA Officer, BSA Officer, Compliance Officer, Merger/Acquisition Project Lead, and Information Security Officer. Alicia is very result-oriented and constantly strives to optimize operational efficiency. She has a passion for people and leadership. Alicia is a certified leadership coach with the John Maxwell Team.

River City Bank Announces New Personal Bankers

River City Bank is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its Rome retail team. Ivey Maxwell and Jerri Knowles join as Personal Bankers, further strengthening the team’s ability and commitment to serving the Rome and Floyd County community.

In addition to cultivating meaningful customer relationships, their responsibilities will include processing banking transactions, opening deposit accounts, and providing tailored financial solutions to help customers achieve their financial goals. As Personal Bankers, they will be instrumental in growing core deposits from retail and business clients through personalized, customer-focused service.

Ivey Maxwell brings nearly a decade of community banking experience to River City Bank. Throughout her career in Rome, she has consistently shown a strong dedication to serving the financial needs of both consumers and businesses alike. She is an active member of Legacy Church and in her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the lake, watching the Atlanta Braves, and spending quality time with her family and dogs.

Jerri Knowles is a Rome native with over 35 years of community banking experience. She has a proven track record of building strong relationships with customers and delivering tailored solutions to meet their financial needs. Mrs. Knowles is actively involved in our community, currently serving as treasurer for the Etowah GYSTC. She and her husband, Jay Knowles, are members of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church where she sings in the choir. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, listening to podcasts, going to the beach, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves.

Shane Walley joins River City Bank as VP/Relationship Manager

River City Bank is proud to announce the addition of Shane Walley as Vice President, Relationship Manager. In his role as a Relationship Manager, Shane’s focus will be on lending in the small business, consumer and residential sectors, including residential construction. He joins River City Bank with eight years of experience which includes branch management and lending.

In his most recent position as Senior Branch Manager, he played a significant role in his branch’s growth and success. His responsibilities included managing loan and deposit portfolios, coaching front line employees, as well as referring business to other product lines. Shane is a banker who focuses on building long term relationships and providing a consultative approach while addressing his customers’ needs.

“Shane is a terrific addition to our team, and his hiring aligns with our ongoing strategic efforts. His knowledge of Rome and Floyd County will be a tremendous asset for our team, our clients, employees and community partners,” said Jamie Tallent, President and CEO.

Walley earned his Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University and completed his Master of Business Administration at Shorter University here in Rome. Active in the community, Shane is a 2002 Rome Floyd Chamber Leadership Rome Alumni and currently serves on the board of the United Way of Rome-Floyd County as well as The Exchange Club Family Resource Center.

He and his wife, Laura, and their two daughters, are lifelong residents of Floyd County and attend St. Peter’s Episcopal Church where Shane serves as a Vestry Member and Finance Committee Chair.

Matt Robbins named President & CEO

River City Bank announced today that Matthew R. Robbins has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the bank and its parent company, RCB Financial Corporation (collectively, the “Company”).

As President and CEO, Robbins will be responsible for steering the strategic vision of the bank, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence and community focus. His leadership will also center around initiatives to drive sustainable growth, enhance the customer experience, and support the bank’s commitment to innovation and local partnerships.

Robbins joined River City in October 2023 as Chief Banking Officer, bringing over 15 years of broad-based community banking experience with extensive expertise in commercial banking, retail banking, mortgage banking, credit administration, financial technology, and executive leadership. A graduate of the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking, he received special recognition for outstanding performance in Bank Management. Robbins also holds a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Economics from The University of Georgia, where he played on the university’s baseball team for four years.

“On behalf of the Board, we are thrilled to have Matt lead River City Bank into the future,” said Scott Smith, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “His impressive track record in community banking and his dedication to customer and community success align perfectly with our mission. Robbins is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Rome and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Calhoun-Gordon County. He actively serves on the boards of the Rome Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Calhoun-Gordon County Community Foundation, and he is a Champion Board Member for Extra Special People, Inc. (ESP). Earlier this year, Robbins was honored with an induction into the Calhoun – Gordon County Sports Hall of Fame.

Robbins expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating, “I am honored to step into this role and work alongside a talented team of bankers that is dedicated to the people and businesses in the communities we serve. Community banking is about serving the unique needs of our neighbors, and I look forward to building on River City Bank’s rich history to further strengthen our presence in North Georgia.”

Robbins is a native of Calhoun, Georgia where he resides with his wife, Keri, and their three children: Ryan, Greer, and Beau. They are passionate Georgia Bulldog and Braves fans and enjoy snow skiing in their free time. 

Chris Hendrix Joins River City Bank as Assistant VP, Branch Manager

River City Bank announces Chris Hendrix has joined the bank as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager in Rome, Georgia.  In addition to managing the daily operations of the Rome Retail Team, Chris will be responsible for providing financial solutions for clients, to include consumer and small business lending.  

Chris attended Georgia Highlands College and Kennesaw State University, where he earned a degree in Business Management. He has over 14 years of banking experience including retail operations, branch management, and consumer and small business lending. 

Jamie Tallent, President & CEO, stated “We are pleased to welcome Chris to the River City Bank team.  His strong background in retail banking and passion for serving clients makes him a great fit to lead our branch team in Rome.”

River City Bank is proud to announce the promotions of three outstanding team members: Rhonda Wallace to Senior Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager, Katie Mashburn to Vice President, Director of Human Resources, and Austin Pattee to Assistant Branch Manager.

Rhonda Wallace joined River City Bank’s Rome Office in October of 2023 as Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager. Her promotion to Senior Vice President reflects her exceptional contributions in building and maintaining customer relationships. With over 40 years of banking experience, Ms. Wallace is a trusted advisor in the Rome-Floyd County community and a driving force in supporting local businesses.

Katie Mashburn joined River City Bank in April of 2022 as Assistant Vice President and Senior Personal Banker, playing a pivotal role in the successful opening of the Bank’s Blairsville Office. With 18 years in the financial services industry, she is dedicated to fostering relationships and community engagement ensuring the Bank is deeply ingrained in the Blairsville community. In her new role as Director of Human Resources, Mashburn will ensure the effective introduction, implementation, and operation of HR practices and policies across the Bank. She will be instrumental in fostering a workplace culture aligned with the Bank’s core values.

Austin Pattee joined River City Bank May of 2022 as a Universal Banker. He has been an integral part of the Blairsville team since the branch’s opening, providing exceptional service to our customers, meeting their needs and fostering strong relationships. In his new role, Pattee will oversee the daily branch operations of the Bank’s Blairsville Office. He will also assist in team development, ensuring compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulations.

Eric Collins Joins River City Bank as Vice President & Branch Manager in Blairsville

River City Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Eric B. Collins as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Bank’s Blairsville location, currently operating as a Mortgage and Loan Office at 215 Blue Ridge Street, Suite A.  River City Bank’s full-service Blairsville office is scheduled to open this Spring at 206 Highway 515.

Eric graduated from Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. He holds an Associate of Science degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and is also a graduate of the Georgia Banking School sponsored by the Georgia Bankers Association. Eric has been serving the financial needs of the Blairsville Community for more than 20 years.
